Research Methodology

This research was conducted using Newspapers.com Publisher Extra (account: michaelfhenry) β€” the most comprehensive archive of historical American newspapers available. Publisher Extra includes complete archived pages from the Southtown Star, Suburbanite Economist, Tinley Park Star/Tribune, and Chicago Tribune dating back to the 1960s and earlier. Every newspaper image listed below links directly to the archived page at its exact location on Newspapers.com.

Research sessions involved systematic keyword searches across approximately 85 distinct search queries, covering every year from 1967 to 1985 with particular focus on election years (1969, 1971, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1979, 1981, 1983), the scandal years (1974–1976), and the development boom years (1971–1980). Each confirmed article was opened, read fully, photographically documented in the research log, and its complete text summarized.

Modern sources were located via targeted Google searches and fully fetched for reading. Six documents from the researcher's Google Drive account (orlandmfh@gmail.com) were read including personal testimony, forensic financial analysis of the Edwards Realty RDA, and court filings.

Research note: Original notes were lost during a 29-day medically induced coma at Palos Community Hospital beginning March 2021, with two cardiac arrests and installation of a Medtronic pacemaker/defibrillator in April 2021. This research is a complete reconstruction from primary sources.
